A daredevil participant in the running of the bulls festival has taken one of the most dangerous selfies ever - by snapping himself inches from a group of charging animals.
The man now faces a fine after he was filmed on television taking the selfie on his phone as the bulls came within centimetres of goring him at the notorious Spanish festival in Pamplona.
The nine-day San Fermin fiesta, a mix of daily bull runs and alcohol-fuelled celebrations, attracts thousands of revellers, and producers from Spanish television TVE had asked them to send in their best selfies to win a prize.
But after the man took his picture inches from the bull's horns, the company said: "Be careful, we didn't quite mean that."
Last week, an expert on eluding the bulls was taken to hospital after being badly gored in his thigh.
Bill Hillman, 32, who co-wrote the book How to Survive the Running of the Bulls, tripped and fell before being gored.
There have been 14 fatalities caused by running with bulls over the past 100 years at Pamplona.
