Nigerian Army Acquires New Equipment To Fight Boko Haram

Following the unabated acts of terrorism being perpetrated by the Islamic militant group, Boko Haram, in the northeastern states of Nigeria, the Nigerian military has revealed that its acquiring new equipment to wage war against the insurgents.



According to the Chief of Army Staff, Kenneth Minimah, the Nigerian soldiers are currently undergoing more training to face Boko Haram and other terrorist groups in the country.


Speaking at the inter-denominational church service held at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church, Mogadishu Cantonment in Abuja, on Sunday, 6 July, 2014, Minimah, told the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, that the military would put an end to terrorism in Nigeria, and canvassed collective support for the fight.


The Lieutenant General said: "We are going through troubled times, but they will soon come to an end, and we shall be glad at the end. I promise you it will come to an end and we will be victorious.
