You won't believe the Happy Independence Day photos posted by your favourite celebs

First of all, let me wish everyone a Happy Independence Day. Many have argued that there really is no reason to celebrate as there's nothing to show for Nigeria's 54 years of independence. But the truth is that if for nothing else, we should at least celebrate the work free day...

Many celebrities went online to post Happy Independence Day photos. We have posted a few of them here for your viewing pleasure.

As the very patriotic Nigerian she is, Waje applied Nigeria's colours for lipstick this morning. Hmmm... Well, she still posted another photo where she had the Nigerian flag in her hand while performing on stage.

PSquare posted a flashback photo of a costume they wore to perform a few years ago. The costume was in Nigeria's colours.

Kaycee was clad in one of Nigeria's green jerseys and white tracksuit pants, complete with an "I love Nigeria" scarf on his shoulders.

Ghanian John Dumelu was more Nigerian than many of us as he adorned a white T-shirt which had his name printed on it in green and a green Nigerian tracksuit top. He wishes Nigeria a Happy Independence Day as well.

Another Ghanaian Yvonne Nelson also wished Nigeria a Happy Independence. She posted a photo of herself in what she called #mynigerianDUKUH. I'm sure she knows what she meant by that. But as usual, she looked beautiful in the photo.

Chika Ike posted a Nigerian flag while wishing Nigeria a Happy Independence Day. She then posted one of her sister while bragging that her sister's hotter than yours... Not mine though. But she's really hot...

Ice Prince posted a photo of a fist in front of a Nigerian flag. I'm sure the fist is to signify the struggle for our independence or maybe our daily struggle for the bare essentials for survival in this tumultuous country.

God bless us and God bless Nigeria...
