Achu Michael is the winner of Star The Winner Is. He won the competition yesterday after the second finalist pressed down the buzzer thinking that he had lost.

The final was between Achu Michael and Job. After they had both finished singing, Uti Nwachukwu, the show host, asked 101 for the result. The score was 57 - 44. Uti then asked for the money and two million naira was shown. According to the rules, if you think you have lost and you press the buzzer, you take the money and go. The other person becomes the winner. Job wasn't sure if he won and so hit the buzzer and took the two million naira thus, making Achu Michael the winner.

Now, this is where it becomes interesting. After Michael was handed the ten million naira and the keys to his new car, the results were revealed. Michael was the one who actually scored 44, while Job who should have won scored higher, 57.

Job could not contain his regret. He was inconsolable. He wept like a baby. Even when Uti tried to console him since, at least he had two million, he wept all the more, sobbing that he lost ten million naira and a brand new car when he should have won the competition. It was really heart breaking.
