When Sean starred in the 1982 film adaptation of Five Days One Summer, she made headlines for parading around the set in nothing but a pale green bikini and oriental veil.
According to reports, it was her way of showing the crew and cast that she alone could distract her husband when he wasn't filming. Then, years later when Sean starred alongside Catherine Zeta-Jones in Entrapment, despite being married for more than two decades she then showcased her fiercely protective streak again.
Micheline allegedly told Catherine to 'butt out' and 'cool it' after the actress gushed about Sean's kissing abilities during interviews.
Explaining her fears of him straying after his history of infidelity, the 85-year-old said of her partner: 'When I met Sean, I knew I was taking on the whole package. Everyone wants him and I have to accept and understand that.'
However, she needn't have worried about Catherine as nearly 20 years after her husband worked with the actress, Micheline and Sean, 83, are about to celebrate their 39th wedding anniversary.
The husband and wife looked more loved-up than ever on their date night on Wednesday as they dined out at one of New York's most popular seafood restaurants, the Atlantic Grill.
Both Sean and Micheline were spotted ordering the same food from the eatery's award-winning menu - omelette and salad.
As they tucked into their delicious food, the couple were then seen laughing and smiling, clearly enjoying each other's company.

Wearing a fitted print top with a figure-hugging light beige skirt, she showcased her trim figure as she strolled around the city with her husband. She also added inches to her height, making her slim legs look longer, by opting for a nude pair of high heels. To complete her fabulous look, Micheline wore a straw fedora hat over her wavy, long blonde locks.
Sean also looked rather dapper too in his smart-casual ensemble. The legendary actor wore a bold red turtle neck with high-waist cream trousers and a black leather belt. He also combined vintage with contemporary by sporting a flat cap with a pair of New Balance trainers, a brand favoured by the likes of RIhanna and Jay Z.
Shielding his eyes from the bright New York sun, Sean also decided to wear a pair of over-sized shades with statement gold frames.
But ever the gentleman, he replaced them with a pair of simple, clear reading glasses when he sat down for lunch with his wife and couldn't seem to keep his eyes off of her.
