Cristiano Ronaldo Ice Bucket Challenge: Soccer Legend Nominated By Former Manchester United Teammate

Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo has been nominated to undergo the ice bucket challenge, the latest charitable viral sensation that has swept across the internet.
Ronaldo was challenged to undergo the initiative by Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher. The Scot played alongside the Portuguese icon at Old Trafford when Ronaldo was in England between 2003 and 2009. Together, they won 3 Premier League titles, 2 FA Cups, 2 League Cups, 1 UEFA Champions League, and a FIFA Club World Cup.

The ice bucket challenge is as simple as you’d expect. The person who has been nominated sits on a chair and then either they or a friend pour a bucket filled with ice over their head. It has so far raised over £9,000 for the James McCarthy Foundation.

You can check out a video of Fletcher’s endeavor below:

Paul Scholes had originally nominated Fletcher to go through with the challenge, which he did with aplomb at United’s AON training complex.

McCarthy himself poured the ice-cold water over Fletcher who could visually be seen to recoil in horror as the water splashed over him. He was then asked who he nominated, which then saw Fletcher announce that Madrid’s Ronaldo and Sunderland’s Wes Brown will follow him.

People will now flock to Crisitano’s twitter account to make sure that he goes through with the request, but as he is ridiculously competitive you can imagine that he will definitely do it.
