A man was fed up with being a sugar daddy to prostitutes and decided to spend the money on his own daughter. However, he demanded the daughter have sex with him for those gifts.
The 44-year-old father of Ruwa, Zimbabwe, was arrested for raping his 20-year-old daughter on two occasions.
The father showered her with money for the incestuous relationship, saying he did not want to waste cash on prostitutes.
Now, the man appeared before Harare Magistrate Mr. Donald Ndirowei, on rape charges. The daughter lived with her parents when she was raped by her father who works as a bookkeeper.
Prosecutor Sharon Mashavira, said that the abuse began when the father dropped a condom next to his daughter while she cleaned her parents’ bedroom. He then apologized, claiming it was a mistake. On another occasion, the father allegedly tried to force his way into the girl's room at midnight, but found the door locked.
The father later confided in his daughter that he no longer shared a bed with her mother. He then asked his daughter to engage in an incestuous relationship and said that he would pay for the services. He told his daughter that he was tired of spending money on prostitutes.
However, the daughter rejected his advances. At midnight, the man broke into his daughter's bedroom and raped her. He allegedly threatened to kill her if she reported the abuse to anyone.
The father stated that the rape was a ritual act designed to bring the family wealth. He said that this was the way rich people made their money.
He raped his daughter again another night. He promised to buy her a car, and gave her a lot of money.
