Disabled motorist with no arms who uses his feet to drive is fined by police

Guo Wenxian has reportedly managed to drive 100,000 miles without having an accident - or being caught

A disabled motorist who uses his feet to drive his car because he has no arms has been fined by police.

Guo Wenxian lost both arms aged just seven when he touched high-voltage power lines near his home in China. Despite losing his limbs he learnt to do everything with his feet, including writing, brushing his teeth, and driving a car - despite the fact cops say it is illegal.

It is claimed the 40-year-old has clocked up 100,000 miles without ever having an accident - or being caught. But the law finally caught up with Guo last week when he was pulled over by traffic police in Xiantao, Hubei Province.

Chinese news site Jingchuwang said the man uses his left foot to steer and his right foot to change gears.

When he was approached by police Guo used his big toe and second toe on his right foot to put the gear stick on his manual car into neutral, and then used his foot to turn the key.
His disability means he cannot be given a licence and Guo was fined £50. He was also ordered to attend "education" lessons.
