Queen Beyoncé, unsatisfied with the size of her fiefdom, has set out to conquer MTV's Video Music Awards as well. The singer who shocked the worl with her surprise visual album in December leads all contenders for the VMAs with eight nominations.

Yoncé's nominations are for three different videos: "Partition," "Pretty Hurts" and "Drunk in Love." The latter, featuring her husband Jay Z, is up for Video of the Year. Iggy Azalea trails Bey with seven nominations (tied with Eminem for second), and is also up for the top prize for "Fancy" and its Clueless-inspired video.

MTV decided to announce the nominations via Snapchat, because attempts to connect with #teens on #socialmedia will never end no matter how much we may pray to our gods. You can participate in a fraud "voting" by going to MTV's website.
