Adele, Katy Perry and Rihanna wax works take heritage tram tour of Blackpool... but let's hope they don't melt

Girls on tour: The three pop stars arrived in Blackpool on one of the town's heritage trams

They are famed for their jetset lifestyles and global tours, but three of the biggest names in pop are in Blackpool for the summer.

Travelling on a heritage tram, pop princesses Adele, Katy Perry and Rihanna were given the red carpet treatment as they arrived in the Lancashire seaside town.

The singers - or at least their waxwork versions - will be the stars of Madame Tussauds in Blackpool for the school holidays, providing the ultimate opportunity for that celebrity selfie.

Rolling out the red carpet: Even the sun shone to welcome the stars - but organisers had to be careful they didn't melt!

Boasting seven BRIT Awards and 17 Grammy Awards between them, the three global superstars are amongst the most successful musicians of all time.

And while the Adele wax figure keeps it classy in eveningwear, her fellow stars opt for more playful outfits.

Adele's dress is a recreation of the black lace Clements Ribeiro frock she wore to the 2012 Grammy Awards.

Rihanna is dressed in a colourful ensemble inspired by her 2010 music video for Who’s That Chick' and Katy Perry styles a quirky sequinned dress decorated with lollipops, a dress worn during her 2011 world tour.
