It is reported that the armed robbery incident involving a bank in Modakeke, Osun State ended with the death of 2 bank staff and eight others (not the robbers).
The robbers, eight in number, came to the bank after banking hours. They used explosives to gain access into the bank premises and began shooting at the security door. That was when they hit the two bank staff.
Other bullets hit people in a bus that was passing by as well as people as they ran for safety.
Although police arrived at the scene, they could not match the superior fire power of the robbers although they were able to shoot one of the tyres of the robbers' vehicle.
