The Gunners chief is understood to be in pole position to sign the Italian striker on a deal worth up to £150,000 a week
Arsene Wenger is reportedly meeting Mario Balotelli's agent in Brazil this weekend to discuss the player's £25 million move to Arsenal.
The AC Milan striker, currently on World Cup duty with Italy, is said to be keen on a return to the Premier League, where he plied his trade with Manchester City.
According to the Daily Star Sunday, Balotelli, 24, was originally interested in a reunion with his former Inter boss Jose Mourinho at Chelsea.
However, the paper says Gunners boss Wenger is now in pole position to sign the controversial frontman.
Balotelli's agent is said to be confident he can reach agreement with Wenger on a £150,000 a week deal.
