A groom was shocked to be dumped on the wedding day by his bride after she learned that he didn't graduate from the university he attended. The bride, Ifunanya Igwebuike shocked her family and her fiance, Ekene Uzoigwe, when she did not show up at the wedding venue on Saturday, 03rd January.
Guests and family members were waiting for the bride at the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Umuchu, Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State when the priest received a text message from Igwebuike, saying that she no longer wants to marry Uzoigwe.
Igwebuike told the priest that she cannot marry a dropout since she is a graduate. Guests and the family members were surprised when the pastor announced the decision of the bride. Uzoigwe expressed his shock at the turn of events, saying that he paid for Ifunanya’s university education. Uzoigwe also said that he gave the bride’s parents N160,000 to prepare for the wedding.
I have not been able to confirm if the groom the bride about his educational status or not.
