A pastor was arrested on charges of murder after two children died from drinking holy water. Delta State Police said that they arrested the mother of the children, 25-year-old Ese Oghenevwe, along with pastor Austin Eduviere, after the two children died.
The woman is accused of killing her children, 9-month-old Prayer Clemente, and 2-year-old Wisdom Clemente, by giving them a liquid substance to drink. She told investigators that the liquid substance was given to her by Eduviere of the Triumphant World International Church, for healing purposes.
She added that the pastor told her that he prayed over the water, turning it into holy water.
Eduviere said that the liquid substance was a mixture of water and salt, which he sells for N1,850 for healing various diseases after praying.
