Justin Bieber facing criminal charges over egg throwing scandal

Justin Bieber will reportedly be charged today with misdemeanor vandalism for egging his neighbours house.

His lawyer is expected to make an appearance on his behalf in a Van Nuys, California, court today.
The LA County District Attorney have come to the decision after deliberating whether the case should be treated as a misdemeanor or a felony.

The singer was accused of causing $20,000 worth of damage in the incident which happened in January.

Sheriff's investigators had recommended the 20-year-old be charged with a felony because of the amount estimated in damage.

Bieber was accused of throwing at least 20 eggs at a house in his gated community in Calabasas, California.

And a video emerged, filmed by the victim, from the egg-gate scene where Bieber's voice can clearly be heard.

Bieber's lawyer previously called the incident a "silly prank".

A separate charge of driving under the influence in Miami is still pending.
