A jealous boyfriend attacked his girlfriend because her ex-partner “liked” her profile picture on Facebook.
David Richards, 41, flew into a rage with Alison Williams after she uploaded a new snap on the social networking website.
He attacked Alison, 39, after she received several "likes" and comments on the photo - including one from her ex-lover.
A court heard how she was left with blood "pouring from her nose" after the attack in Brecon, Mid Wales.
Prosecutor Lisa Jones said: "Miss Williams changed her profile picture on Facebook, her ex-boyfriend had liked it.
"He told her she was still beautiful and she said: "Thank you".
"The defendant lunged forward and hit her in the face, connecting with her nose.
"Blood began pouring from her nose and he passed her a tea towel. There was blood on her arms and chest."
Richards, of Ystradgynlais near Swansea, admitted assault.
Magistrates in Brecon adjourned sentencing until a later date.
